BEHIND THE SCENES
I am a traveller, an adventurer, a freedom seeker, a beach and sun worshipper, an explorer of new possibilities, a nature lover and a very proud and happy mum. I have a lifelong commitment to and am totally passionate about, health, wellbeing, and personal growth. I can be annoyingly positive with a relentless desire to find the best in every situation. Through my work (initially as a flight attendant and later as a tutor of aromatherapy and massage) I have been fortunate enough to travel the world, visiting many countries years before they became frequented by thousands of tourists. I have also lived and worked for several years in Australia (Melbourne & Perth), as well as many counties throughout the UK.
MY WORKING LIFE
In 1989 I trained in Aromatherapy, Reflexology and Massage. My Aromatherapy training was with Robert Tisserand, also known as the Father of Aromatherapy, and his wonderful in-depth knowledge was to change my life. Soon after finishing my training I had a thriving and fully booked practice at the South London Natural Health Centre. During this time I was also teaching Aromatherapy and Massage for two prestigious schools in London and Surrey, as well as assisting Robert Tisserand by facilitating his Introduction to Massage courses. I eventually left the UK to live in Melbourne where I taught Aromatherapy and Massage to Diploma level students for In Essence Aromatherapy, the largest company of its kind in Australia. Fabulous years indeed!
After many years of travelling (professionally and personally), I decided it was time to put down roots and relocate to the beautiful English countryside. My dream was to live in an area of outstanding natural beauty which would nurture my 4-year-old daughter as she grew up. So, in 1997 my husband and I moved to Dorset, a stunningly beautiful county with some equally stunning beaches (beaches feature heavily in my life and I’m never happier than when I’m close to water).
In 2103, after working as a Natural Health Therapist, Transformational Coach and teacher of Aromatherapy and Massage for so many years, I felt ready for change. I decided it was time for the high-profile speakers, those who would usually only run their workshops in major cities like London and Birmingham, to share their work with us here in the south. The idea grew very quickly and I went on to launch Conscious Living Events in Dorset with a commitment to ‘Bring the Best Speakers to the South’. My aim was to host high-profile speakers in the fields of personal growth and spirituality. It seemed that my intuition hadn’t let me down because just three years after the company’s launch I had hosted over 50 events with some very notable speakers. My guests, my team and I were overjoyed!
In 2016 I passed Conscious Living Events on to my dear friend and long-term teammate, Clara Apollo, who I have to say is doing an outstanding job. This gave me the freedom to allow my adventurous spirit to travel once again and explore new possibilities. I moved to the beautiful county of Devon where I met some fabulous people and continued with my mission to ‘Bring the Best Speakers to the South’ by launching Living Now Events. I am happy to say that this was also a great success and enjoyed by both guests and speakers alike.
But, beautiful Dorset and the very close friends I have there kept calling me and I knew in my heart that this was where I truly belonged. So four years later, in 2020, I returned ‘home’ and launched The Wellbeing Project. I continue to host high-profile speakers who are world leaders in spirituality and personal growth, but this time it’s with a difference as I have expanded my events to encompass the all-important areas of Health and Wellbeing. I also continue to work as a Transformational Coach and you can find out more about this on my Transformational Coaching page. The future looks bright and I am sure that it will be a VERY exciting time for all of us!
If you would like to know more about The Wellbeing Project you should find all the info you need on the pages of this website. But, if you prefer, I am happy to chat with you in person. Please feel free to check out my details on the contact page. Thank you.
